I don't know what exactly inspired me...but now that I look at her, she looks like a young woman that I saw the other day. The girl was probably about 18, and 6'1". Don't ask me why, but I have a strange fascination with really tall girls.
The woman's expression came out somber, which I really like. It's how I think warriors really feel about war: it is their duty, but there is a reluctance to killing. I think this is probably one of my best drawings this year, I put a good 3 hours into it. I especially like how her hair turned out. I didn't have much hope for it, but the hair turned out pretty good (I spent the least amount of time on the hair, go figure).
I want her armor...
